Interference

A couple of questions for those who have paved the way for my installations.

1. Have you experienced interference between the TPMS repeater and the wireless back up camera?

2. I watched the YouTube video on the installation of the TST TPMS repeater, and they recommend putting it as far to the BACK of the RV as possible. In TST's video, they placed it INSIDE a storage bay in the back of their motorhome.
To me that seems counterintuitive on both counts.

3. Do you use the TST repeater at all?

I have a 25FB and tow with a short-wheelbase Yukon. I bought the repeater at the same time as the TST 507 external sensors, without trying just the sensors first. I installed the repeater at the rear of the ceiling of the Yukon. The system does work without the repeater but I keep using the repeater anyway, because you can't tell when signal is lost (my 2013 version of the TST system will alarm when a sensor drops out, but not for an hour).

I don't have a backup camera.

Can't help with the interference question. I have a Tire Pressure Manual System.

We gave our kids who have a FC30 a TST system and they have never needed a repeater. We do not have a repeater with our FC19 either. I'd suggest you try it without a repeater first and see if you really need one. And as for interference I doubt you would see any but it might depend on which camera you are talking about. Our camera operates on a wifi channel which is an entirely different frequency then the TPMS system.

TST TPMS and Backup Camera Interference

Yes, I do get interference with the TST TPMS 507RV and the Rear View Safety Wireless backup camera.

It has been almost two years since an update to this thread. Does anyone else have this interference and have a solution?

I am considering adding the TST 507 Repeater to see if this helps avoid the interference.

The interference is border line. It can work for maybe a hour or two but then lose a sensor connection. I can switch off the Rearview display unit while keeping the camera transmitting and do not seem to notice the interference.

Anyone experienced running down the road near some other 433 MHz transmitting vehicle and lose a sensor connection for a while? Did a 507 Repeater seem to solve this interference for other 433 MHz Transmitting devices?

I am assuming this a 433 MHz problem.
