Install rear view safety wired system on Safari SE 27FB

Just purchased system from Costco. Wired system To Ram. What is best location for camera if it high above rear window, what is best way to run wire. Thought about over license plate but have read posts about glare from headlights. Thinking about using anodized aluminum cable tray with silicone and filling joints and running at window head.

Any recommendations?

Nice system. Commercial grade. Three cables for tow vechilce joint and trailer.

Why not mount the camera inside at the lower edge of the top of the window?

I have a 2016 model that has several USB outlets around the interior. One is located near the rear window. As far as I can tell, the wires to the USB are 12VDC. I tapped those wires to power my rearview camera. That way you do not have to have your car lights on to power the camera. I installed a little in-line switch to the camera and only hve to remember to turn it on and off. Or not. If you are on shore power, it doesn't matter.
It works fine. I elected to mount camera on the outside and threaded the wires out through the slit through which the window opening struts pass. At that point you could choose to mount the camera between the screen and the glass or just above the window.
My additional suggestion is to mount the camera dead-center. The one in my RAM 1500 is a little off center and at times makes backing into a target difficult.

So after 4 months, you probably got this system up and running.
I want to do the same installation, running the 5 wire cable from back of AS to the tongue. Where do I find "anodized aluminum cable tray?"
Someone { I can't find who/when} suggested going under the plastic trim strip between the top and bottom shells. Cool, but, how?

mount as high up ABOVE the windows as you can.

the higher gives better depth perceptions when in the TV
our in the 22FB is just below the airstream lettering

Used Velcro... I don't do holes in the skin if not needed. 😂
Wired thru window weatherstrip to the rear 12v powerport, with a switched plug.👍
