Grounding: EE's opinion(s)?

Grounding: EE's opinion(s)?

I have done a LOT of electrical rework on my '23 19' Bambi, thus far I have always considered the negative bus to also be ground.
I'm installing a POE injector that speficically states the case must be gounded to prevent static build up, this got me thinking: IS using the negative bus as ground correct? It's not like I can drive a 6' copper pole into the ground for a 'true' ground! Would grounding to the chassis be more correct?

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, since the buss is grounded to the chassis, it matters not. I ground required grounded chassis components to the buss. But I'm not an EE.

The negative bus is grounded to frame in my my trailer on the DC side, and then the AC is grounded to the frame as well. My unit has just a bare copper 12awg wire as the bond to frame. As long as that is done, should be good, only concern would be the wire gauge being too small for an inverter that shorts to ground.

The bond should be sized (at a minimum) to the largest circuit.
