Front Control Board Replacement

Looking to replace my control panel. Anyone have a contact for a supplier or do I need to just start calling dealers trying to locate one?

Call Firefly at (574) 825-4600 and ask for a replacement.

Ouch. $200 board.

Turn around time is nice though. They make the boards per order and it takes about 2 days to produce and ship. Should get the new panel before the weekend.

This is a good number to save for anyone with firefly. Very helpful staff too.

I had a water accident. Panel got wet and when you press a button something else would turn on. Awning deployed randomly too. Figured it would be better to replace the board for $200 than to risk the awning deploying while we are driving.

Front Control Board Replacement

Just as a final try, soak the entire board assembly in store-bought distilled water a couple times, fully submerged and swishing it around, shaking it off well when changing the water after 20 minutes of sloshing it around. Blow the excess water out with canned air or low pressure compressed air, 20 pounds max. Then dry it out gently but thoroughly in a warm oven, as low as you can set it for a couple hours or more.

See if it now works, then save it as an emergency spare. If there are no batteries or obvious corrosion on the board this old trick can work surprisingly well. If not, youíre just out the cost of a bottle of distilled water.

Last time I tried it the hardware had been sprayed with salt water. It recovered to be even better than new, but the owner darn near had a heart attack when I dumped his expensive photo lab meter in 5 gallons of distilled water!

RV oven only gets as low as 250. Wonít that bake the board and melt the plastic?

Just dry it with a hairdryer set on low heat. This is a patience exercise.

Does the heat matter? I did put out one of those turbo floor fan deals (used to dry carpet) and set up the board to be in front of the air flow for 48 hours. Just reset everything, board still is kinda wonky. It all lights up as normal but when I hit a button it will also turn on another light system.
