Compact Roadstar 3000 Omnidirectional Antenna

We had decided on a Winegard Sensar IV antenna, but found out it will not fit due to solar panels. We are now considering the Winegard Compact Roadstar 3000 Omnidirectional antenna. We are limited to about 14 inches. I found a discussion from October, 2011, and comments were not very positive for the Omni. Any new experiences? Other suggestions? Thanks.

Jack Digital Antenna

Wanted to provide an update - we went with a Jack Digital Antenna due to space limitations on the roof (solar panels) -- decent price at PPL Motorhomes in Texas. No cranking up or down and it has worked great.
