Broken HDMI cable end

We are new owners of a 2020 Atlas Coach. There are two HDMI cables in the overhead compartment (above the driver and passengers seat) The cable that connects the Directv box to the TV has a broken end. (this happened to our friends coach too) is was pre-wired by the factory and is so short that moving the receiver has broken off the connector. I understand it's almost impossible to replace the connector end. There is a second HDMI cable that is unused, If anyone knows where the second cable runs to, I would try to use it to replace of the broken cable.

Among other problems, I'm having trouble getting the TV to raise up more than half way. The switch seems to go dead after trying for a while. Any suggestions on that?

If you do an internet search on how to fix a broken HDMI cable, there are a number of helpful suggestions.

The easiest way, without having to fish in a whole new cable, is to purchase a new HDMI cable, cut a few feet off of one end, and carefully splice that onto the existing cable, one wire at a time.

Other methods are to purchase and solder in a connector plug, but I would think it would be far too frustrating a task to attempt to do that in the small, cramped and confined space you have to work with.
