BOTH HDMI pre-wires disconnected?!

This is a 2019 Atlas with Wally in the overhead cabinet, using SAT prewire and one of the two HDMI prewires running through the walls to the HDMI switch in the entertainment center. This setup worked fine until now.

Ohmmeter shows neither HDMI outer shield has continuity end-to-end anymore! Both HDMIs are just long cable runs, according to the schematics (also visually). The SAT and OTA antenna prewires are still working fine.

I have seen posts about insulation deteriorating due to AS not using grommets, but I don't think that's a problem here. Also there is no sign of rat activity. The Atlas does get plenty of direct sun, so glue melting is possible but still doesn't explain the disconnect?

I imagine it would cost a small fortune to have a dealer re-run the HDMI prewires, so I'll probably just install an HDMI wireless transmitter. Still, I'm curious what could be the failure mode for BOTH of these cables??
