Interesting thought... I'm gonna mull that one over (I think we've got an old 6 around, too...)

The airtag would have been the simplest, but if it notifies folks that doesn’t work.

We think this does and doesn't work.. We use our neighbors class b last two years. He has airtags in the rig, and a burner phone connected to airtags.

We still would intermittently get an airtag alert to being followed usually 2-3 hours after starting our drive. I think reason for delay, old burner phone lost service not being 4g, 5g,e whatever new signal is and then our phone connecting. I posted link here, I will try this method to use in our AS and a few bikes, since it disables the airtag speaker,,
sure it alerts thief, but they cant find it.
There are other videos, He shows how to open without breaking the tabs.
I liked that!

Interesting, I was sort of joking about the burner phone, but apparently I'm not the only one to think of it. I didn't quite understand getting rid of the speaker on a bike. Yes it would be hard to locate but on something like a bike it wouldn't take too long to figure out where it is. I suppose hidden in an Airstream this would be much more effective.

I wouldn't recommend using an Air tag used to have one on my 2023 F-150, it got stolen... these guys literally tried to take my whole setup but they tried to pull it out and the rookies didn't take in the turn radius ... so they left everything but my truck and trailer some scraps ...Anyways i got a ram tracking tracker it was okay but hella expensive then switch over to this company called YOGPS they are much more affordable with the same features, bought the turbo magnetic 20,000mAh big boy battery barely need to charge it.

Get a good GPS tracker, dont be fooled with this Bluetooth tracker... they have limited range, battery life is trash and also airtags if the person who robs your trailer got an Android device good luck to you....

Be safe yall
