Battery drain
Fellow streamers, here's my problem.
When plugged into shore power, ac works but not the lights without draining the battery.
Should I be able to run all the electrics with the battery disconnected but with the AS hooked up to campground power?
I am worried that the AS inverter has shut down. I checked the fuses and they are good.
Any ideas?

Is the use/store button in the use position?

The inverter (if any) wouldn't be the problem, but the converter/charger might.
Terry's suggestion about the mysterious store/use switch is the first/easiest thing to check, but it sounds from your description like the 12v lights work for a while but run the battery down, and I don't think those lights work off the battery in the Store position.
Check to make sure the 120v outlet that your converter/charger plugs into is hot when you're on shore power (check the 120v breakers if it's not.) Then test the converter itself... make sure it outputs DC when it has power, and check its fuses if it doesn't.

the store/use switch seems to be fine.
also, it lloks like all the fuses and breaker are okay.
it just seems that the battery is not being chared/recharged when hooked up to shore power
so, running anything 12v drains that battery w/o the battery holding a charge.
recently i had the same issue dry camping. the battery would drain and i would have to re-charge it every day directly through the generator.

Is there a switch for the converter? Mine is hidden behind a front curtain.

In our trailer, the converter has a circuit breaker in the box with the other AC circuit breakers. Our converter has a regular AC power cord the plugs into a regular AC outlet. That could be unplugged. Does the converter have a reset button on it?

The use/store light will always be lit when plugged into shore power. If it was in "store" mode prior to connecting shore power you will discharge your batteries when using the 12v system. I know because of personally making this mistake when trying to charge low batteries prior to a trip. Imagin my supprise after running the generator for 4-5 hours and seeing the batteries at a lower state of charge than when I started. After switching to "use" mode and running the generator my batteries charged as expected.

i seem to recall that the store/use relay will not activate if the battery is low below a certain voltage. try having the battery charged up. there have also been posts about bad use/store relays. time to get the tester out and check that the 12v is coming out of the relay :-)

Thanks for all tips. Looks like I have some checking to do.
I will make sure it's on use not store while hooked to shore power

Had a chance to check some of the suggestions.
Turns out is WAS the converter fuse!
I had checked the fuses but the regular fuses were ok and everything seemed to be working. I finally took a flashlight, lay on the floor and really checkked out all the fuses.
As is often the case, the problem is the easily fixed once it is identified.
Happy trails all
