Bambi converter blown

Thanks Bob for your reply....Yes, it was the converter that smoked when I plugged my 96 Bambi into the house outlet. It was the original that came with the trailer. Any idea as to what would cause this as I sure don't want it to happen again.
thanks
chris

Your converter experience, is very rare.

Usually, when a converter decides to go, it just quits.

If you bought the trailer used, I would suggest that you have the AC system checked out to make sure a previous owner did not modify something.

The 12 volt output from the converter, is all fused, therefore if there was a 12 volt DC problem, a fuse would have blown.

Also, they do not have any particular limited shelf life.
