Question Using telemedicine on the road?

Hello! I'm a freelance writer for Airstream Life magazine, and I'm working on a story about telemedicine options for Airstreamers.

Full-timers, I ask you: How do you see a doctor when you're on the road? Have you ever used a telemedicine service, like Doctor on Demand or another service? What was your experience like? What would you recommend to other Airstreamers? Can I interview you for the article?

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

I am an airstream wannabe and actually a teladoc provider for Florida where I am licensed
My experience as a provider is that it is a great service for people.
Patients rave about the service, the time they saved, by avoiding waiting rooms in drs offices or urgent care clinics.
Consults are availed by video or phone, it could be a cost and a life saver for people.
When I retire (hope) next year and start meandhering I will continue to provide care for anyone in Florida

I believe that for routine monitoring of labs, in particular, telemedicine with your own provider is an excellent way to receive needed care and follow up while traveling.

I have done labs all over the country for 17 years, have them faxed to my provider at home and then we have a phone call to discuss and go over any med changes.

The “telehealth” appointments didn’t really begin until Covid, for me, they were before just phone consults usually with a nurse or nurse practitioner.

Any of the big pharmacy chains can fill your prescriptions wherever they are, and I like Walgreens, personally.

Unless in an emergency, this is the best way to receive ongoing care and still be able to travel, iMHO.
