Seattle Fulltiming?

Anyone know what seattle's laws are regarding living in a trailer off-street? As in in a driveway or back yard? What/ where would I look to find out?

Also, about how much would an electrical heater draw per month in a relatively mild climate such as seattle's, where it rarely drops below 30 at night?

This is where you'd start, but unfortunately the municipal code search engine for Seattle seems to be iffy, you might keep trying it to see if maybe they were just doing maintenance while I was looking. I'd call the Clerk's office to get the relevant code (which appears to be Seattle Municipal Code Sec. 11.72.070 - Commercial and Large Size Vehicles) if you can't get the online search engine to cooperate.

Contact the City of Seattle Office of the City Clerk at (206) 684-8344 or email clerk@seattle.gov.

Well, I found this for Bellevue:

C. Parking or storage of recreational vehicles, watercraft or utility trailers for compensation is not permitted within a Residential Land Use District (R-1 – R-30). This subsection does not apply to storage facilities provided exclusively for tenants of multifamily dwelling complexes.

Bellevue is an entirely separate municipality which I have no interest in living, but Seattle's rules are still evading me. Anyone know of people full timing in Seattle? I'd guess that as long as you keep to yourself you could be OK. . .

Definitely call the City Clerk on Monday, is my advice. It'll likely take just a few minutes.

I'm interested in a nice rv park in the Seattle area. I will probably spend summer months there full time and come and go occasionally in the winter months for work. Any suggestions?

South Seattle

I am fulltiming it just south of Seattle in Bonney Lake, WA. I'm staying at a 55 and over park. I'm not 55, they have some wiggle room. They do a back ground check, that will cost you $40. Well worth the money. You DO NOT want to stay in a park that does not do one. If you sign a years lease you will get the last 2 months free. Paying around 408 to 425 a month plus electric. Pets are allowed with the usuals: clean and control. No fancy amenities, but it is quiet and safe. Woodside Manor

Olympia is pretty far from Seattle, but I don't know if you want to be right in the city or not... Home
