Retired

I it’s official. I am retired and get to travel fulltime. It’s been a long wait. I haven’t posted much in the last few years but I am hoping that will change.

Congrats and enjoy! Six Saturdays in every week. You're settled in to retirement when you really do have to stop and think about what day of the week it is.

I am coming up on two years retired, after 30 years of teaching, at age 55.

Nine years of 2nd Grade, sixteen years of Kindergarten, three years of 5th Grade.

Congratulations to you, and enjoy the time.

Congrats and enjoy.

The initial transition is a bit weird but after you get used to it it's quite wonderful. We still volunteer and then we do everything else at a slower pace. I think our favorite part is not having to cram chores and errands into our spare time. The lack of urgency for tasks is very relaxing.

Welcome to the retired club! Two years in and I can say it’s not over-rated

Congrats to all who have recently retired and starting to enjoy Airstream life.

I retired in Oct 2020 but was already a full timer living in the Airstream at my last job assignment. Between Covid and unexpectedly becoming a full time caregiver for my Mother, retirement plans were put on hold. Even the Airstream went into storage for over a year. With her passing I have only recently reached retirement utopia and almost ready to hit the road.....Fryeburg is my destination this summer. Hope to see many of you there.

So glad you are able to go fulltime. I have been a fulltimer technically since 2006. The AS became my home but I was still employed. Now I am like you , a free fulltimer. I couldn’t be happier.

I keep having to remind myself that I am not off from work and need to squeeze things in before I have to go back. The “I am retired”mindset hasn’t fully clicked yet [emoji846]
