Philly Full-timing suggestions

Hi all

The wife and I are going to be full-timing for the forseable future in the philly/valley forge area due to work requirements. We are looking for somewhere nice that will take a 25ft airstream for the next couple of months. RV sites seem a little thin on the ground near philly/valley forge
area and all the mobile home parks I found are either full or way to far west.

Does anyone know anywhere nice to rest out heads for the next 1-2 months in the philly area (at a reaosnble cost too)?

Cheers

We camped at the French Creek State Park last summer when we were there for a national event. It was very nice, but if you stay there, be sure to request a level spot!

I think there are restrictions on how long you can stay at a state park, so if you are interested, you need to ask them about that.

That's all I know about the area, sorry!

Thanks for the tip. I tried french creek (its a nice place by the way ) and they have a limit of 21 nights in winter (14 in summer), I think we are going to need somethign a little longer term.

(A) Maybe you could find a couple of places that have limited stays and go back and forth between them.

(B) Also, it's been our experience in parks with limits, if nobody's chomping at the bit to get in, they'd rather extend your stay than lose the revenue. Talk to whomever is in charge, explain your situation, and see if they will cut you some slack...the worse that can happen is that they stick to thier limits...

Good luck! It will work out...

I live in Lancaster County. There are plenty of top rated campgrounds in our area. Pick one close to the Morgantown or Ephrata exchange of the turnpike and you can be in the Valley Forge area in no time. You can look up the campgrounds in the Trailer Life or Woodall's directory.
