Patty O' Room Alternative?

Hello folks. We've just purchased our "new" used Airstream Globetrotter w/awning. Our previous trailer had an awning and we installed the screened in room ( Patty O' Room ) to provide an outside living space. We are wondering what most people here do for an outside living space. We know that a kitchen style screen tent is an option. However, it was nice being able to step out the door and right into the screened room. Also, we've got a chocolate lab who appreciated the outside space. Any suggestions or recommendations are welcomed!

Screen room enclosure

We have a screen room on our motorhome and really enjoyed the extra space. I wouldnt consider it for my airstream as there are many attachment points that would have to be stuck to the exterior. Maybe there is another solution for the airstreams.

It would be nice to have a screen room, however I have learned from experience (and from others' experiences) that it is prudent to take my awning in at night. Also, whenever we are leaving camp for any extended period of time.

The price to pay in the event of unexpected wind or rain just outweighs the desire for a screen room.

There was one in the classifieds recently. It was even the right size for the awning on my Excella. I was glad when it went away, I thought about it.

Zipdee

I got a screen room from Zipdee and am pretty happy with it.

How do these Zipdee rooms attach to the exterior of the Airstream? I know the one we've got right now required drilling into the exterior and mounting the clips which secure the room to the trailer. Is this the same type of system?

Yes. It clips to the trailer. And there is a water balloon style to hold the exterior down.

A family in my park purchased a stand alone canapy screened 10 x 10 additional room they put out back of their 5th wheel. It added 100 sq ft of space and with 4 kids that was a HUGE plus.
