I'm off full-timing!

Well, I sold house, closed deal, got everything lined up somehow...

then the dog ran away at the closing .....after 350 miles and 3 days of searching the local neighborhoods and having the police stop me for suspicious behavior riding around neighborhood over and over at all hours......found my buddy Zip, the min. schnauzer......he had bedded down in a beauty salon across from the realtors office....

After a week of packing , storing, 3 days of dog hunting...I am so tired all I did was drive a little ways to a RV park ( it is nice) and am recovering!!

Then will try being off again....jem

zduke4x,

I find it amazing that your dog ran away when you sold the house ... Zip must have sensed something was happening.

Best wishes on your travels .. perhaps our paths will cross ... we plan on hitting the road full time by May 1st.

Ok, you are now officially "trailer trash" I'm looking at trying it this summer also. Good luck and keep us posted of the to-do's and the more important not-to-do's.

I go Full Time, on Tuesday......

I will probably never be heard of again...

Unless, of course, I find satellite intenet connection equipment.

Thanks for support!

Zip is ready to go with anybody at the drop of a hat....will have to work a bit on that....I had thought he headed for home but should have known he would end up with the ladies at the beauty parlor.....although he never has enjoyed hair clipping.

Verizon mobile Quicklink is cheap and a little slow (115,200 bps), but seems to work well enough with my cell phone....just have to stick to eve and weekends for my forums fixes.....

Hardest part so far is finding a way to live with all my STUFF and how to live without the rest that I had to leave behind....

In just a few days it is amazing people and rigs that are out there...jem

zduke4x,

I am envious. My wife won't buy in yet.

We have spent the last two months in the rio grande valley. She hates to leave.

I am using verizon & cell phone. It works decent if you have a tower close. Otherwise, not very good.

I have been in my A/S for a little over a month. Things I miss the most? Left my battery drill up in Ohio, and did not bring a printer for the computer. A step ladder would be nice also, for keeping the A/S clean. A 50' garden hose and nozzle, for if the cg allows car and rv washing.

Always keep a good supply of quarters on hand, for doing the laundry and car washes.

Well it sounds to me like there are 2 "Lucky Dogs" at your place. Good luck on your new adventure. We too sold our house and down sized. Can't full time for a year or so as my wife has a few months before she can retire. We went from a 3 bedroom house with a large workshop full of tools and lumber and all the stuff that goes with owning and maintaining a place to a small 2 bedr. apt. Had a garage sale and sold every thing except the dirty underwear I had on. After living here over a year I can tell you there is ''Life After Stuff"! For some reason we get caught up in accumulating Stuff. Spend have our lives paying for it the other half maintaining it. It really is good to be "Unstuffed!! Wish I was following your tail lights-----good luck
