Yes she was moving to Sarasota and she was very nice. The original price was $1900 she ended up taking $1600 for it. It was solid unit in purchasing it and that is about it.
I have been working on the SS for 3 months solid. I have had to do a LOT of work to it from rewiring, plumbing, kitchen remodel, painted the inside. The SS after thinking about it was a mess but was solid. If you watch the video you will see a tiny AC unit placed where the original fridge vent was. It was a good idea however was not cooling the unit down at all. Installed a new to me Coleman Mach III rooftop AC unit which does its job very well.
The electrical was a nightmare. I thought it was just going to include installing new outlets, well I ended up having to rewire most of the SS with romex. So now its safe lots of rigging was going on before it was totally unsafe.
I was happy to find out that the water pipes were copper throughout so that didn't need much work at all. Except for a few water lines that were corroded badly and a few of the exit lines. Needed a new toilet and the plywood around the toilet was rotten also. Was scared I was going to need new black tank cause the toilet was actually sitting on the black tank without any plywood for support.
Kitchen has a new base cabinet larger than what is pictured in the video. The kitchen was a weird setup the sink wasn't hooked up. Got a new sink, faucet and counter top. I bought a Magic Chef fridge freezer that I could fit through the door damn 25" entry. Still need to figure out a stove/oven. I have an induction cook top a microwave with broiler so for the time being that will work also have an outdoor grill.
So from the woman's past I take it she lived in it for a while in the country and it was rigged with whatever was around. I am happy I rescued this soon to be gem.
Last week I I put 2 coats of white elastic paint Kool something on the roof and am deciding what to put in for flooring. Thinking bamboo.
More videos and pics to come shortly
