Flag Pole Holder

Does anyone know where I can buy a 2 or 3 flag pole holder that would attach to the front of my Airstream?

We got ours from pole ease in Jackson MI. DH did have to make a couple of modifications but was 'easy to do'. The gang also assisted when he adjusted the poles so the American Flag is higher than the other two.

I got my 5-flag-pole holder from Rob Baker of VAP fame. He also has 3-pole versions. You can PM him at robandzoe here on the Forums.

like 'baskets and 1000s of other streamers...

my gear ALSO came from pole eaze...

they've been advertising these holders and poles for decades in the bb...

and have sold the stuff at the wb' headquarters for a long long time.

rumor is that the wb'hq no longer carries this stuff,

i haven't confirmed this but the parts from pole eaze are FIRST RATE,

so checking with THEIR jackson michigan location is a good first choice.

cheers

The picture that robandzoe shared is very similar to what we have. I don't know if he also sells the poles. It was nice to have one-stop-shopping.

Rob,

Is this a picture of patina finish? Can you give us a picture of holders after polishing. Thanks.

My poles are just extendable painters' poles from Lowes (upon Rob's suggestion). They go from 6' to 12', and are an inch diameter at the base, which is the correct dimension for the holders.

If you went that route, you'd have to remove the rubber handle at the base, and I drilled some holes at the top for my carabiners to go through, and hold the flags in place.

I used the painter's poles but put the small end at the bottom and attached the top grommet of the flag to the plastic handle.

Putting the small end down has the added benefit of keeping rainwater from running down the pole and getting in and corroding the poles' locking mechanism.

Here is a link to a collapsible pole available with Internet access and a credit card. Scroll down to Collapsible Flagpoles To Go. Warning, they are not cheap, but they are really nice, and very easy to store.

This was on a previous post and I purchased mine from this site. It is very nice, easy to store and I'm happy with it.

I see they also have some 3x5 flags. How did you attach the flags to the pole? Also, those flags are tapered...If you have the 12' or 15' does it "hold up" and not bend in higher winds?

They came with the eyelets to attach the flag. I bought the 15' and you can adjust the height. I run mine up enough to put the bottom of the flag just above the top of my center cap. It has held up in the winds. The only problem is that the diameter is not quite an inch and my holder is an inch so I have had difficulty with it turning in the wind.

How about drilling a small hole in the holder that lines up with the center of your poles and inserting a nice SS pin of some sort there to keep them from twisting ?
