I'm happy to see this thread has chugged along a bit while I was gone. We just had our first little one born and things have been a touch hectic around the house

I'm really hoping we are able to buy a trailer next year, and I reckon we are pretty well sold on the 30 with lounge as we would like to order new. I honestly think we could make the 27FB, 28 or 30 work for us and be happy, but the layout in the 30s feels just right. The lounge model would also work best for us if the Irish Wolfhound is still around when we hit the road. We just have to settle on Flying Cloud or International Signature now - and this seems like a harder choice!

Although not a full timer, I have been in Airstreams about six to eight months total time, including blizzards in Wyoming, blistering sun in San Antonio, so, at least some feedback based on my experience.

My new Serenity 30 RB has the recliners and UltraLeather. The UltraLeather is IMO the best way to go, easily cleaned and quite durable. The recliners, very comfortable, great for one or two, but they do use a lot of space, and it may be that the standard sofa would allow more space, especially with pets. The ideal situation would be the new sofa from the Classic as an option, but doubt this will happen soon.

Although the 30 footer, actually being 30'-10" is long by Bambi standards, my experience suggests it will fit almost anywhere, but I also used to force a 44' Moho into a lot of places which I maybe should not have....LOL

One thing is for sure, again my experience with a 25' trading after less than a year to a 27FB, if it is too small, not good.

Funny, my experience is nearly the same after trading from a 20' to a 25', if it is too small, not good.

Small is relative, all Airstreams are very, very tiny homes.

Don't forgot, every SOB owner always has to bring up the lack of slide out. Clearly even the 30 bunkhouse is to small. No slide outs.

Airstream did the slide out thing nearly 10 years ago and it must have flopped sales wise and they were not continued.

After the first trip in the 2013 25FB International Serenity, I knew we were going to change rigs. We ordered a 27FB Classic about 6 months after acquiring the 25FB. The $3,012 difference in base price at order time would not be available in the future, so we upped the ante to the 31' Classic model 30.

We have extensively modified the trailer since the delivery in January.

THIS!! The one thing any full timer can tell you is no matter what size you live in, the routine is the same. The older SOB couple visiting the park will probe around your camp passively until you invite them in to tour your can. They'll be shocked SHOCKED to find you live in abject poverty with a mere 8 foot wide living room and a single water heater, and out of pity they'll invite you to come hang out in their 5th wheel or class A palace and see the modern splendor you're missing out on for a mere $60k.

There is a lot of sarcasm in there, but I've always had great neighbors and this routine will never get old for me.

Yeah I don't remember the price premium off the top of my head but it was a lot of $$$ to add a lot of complexity, weight, and future leaks all for an added 2 feet of width in front of the couch... Not hard math.

The 34foot panamerica toy hauler was a darn cool idea for a full timer, and it'll be interesting to see how well they hold up over the years with heavy stuff in the back garage.

Nor the you can't do that, you can't do that with kids, you'll want more room. You'll be sorry. Berating you over the head with it.
