Hi,

Is there a website or group established that lists homeowners in various cities offering yard space or street space for rent to travelers or full-timers? For example: I am looking to purchase an Airstream for full-time living in the Portland, OR area and I was curious if a homeowner would let me pay them $200+ a month to park in front of their home and or on their property and utilize their resources. I am aware of Craigslist but I was looking for a more specific website.

You probably would run up against zoning or legal habitation issues from quite a few municipalities. The larger issue would be -- would the homeowner have a dump station for you to camp alongside? Dumping gray water on the ground is forbidden, often at a state level. Do you imagine moving the Airstream every few days to dump tanks?

So resource? No, haven't heard of this. Put the resource quest in reverse and put an ad in Craigslist?

What is the going rate for monthly rentals in lower tier campgrounds?
