Compact Vacuum/Electric Broom Suggestions

Had a great little vacuum with a telescoping handle which we inadvertently left in our old home when we moved. It was compact and the handle collapsed down to store easily. Was wondering what people use on the road. Thanks in advance and travel safely.

I have a cordless Dyson Car and Boat that I take with us in the trailer. It comes with a bunch of attachments although a long extension wand is extra. It is the most powerful handheld unit I've ever used and I really like it. When it comes to vacuums, to say that one "sucks" is a real compliment, and this one definitely does.

The downside is that it is relatively pricey but, having owned cheaper and less powerful cordless models from other brands that were an exercise in frustration when it came to actually using them, IMHO it's worth the price.

I use a Hoover CH30000 PortaPower for the RV and truck that I like. 110v with a very long cord. Small and hand held or over the shoulder strap.

I installed one of these https://www.dirtdevilcentral.com/WBA...at-central-vac in our 23D. We LOVE it... it is absolutely excellent. If I could find a place to install it in our 'little' trailer, you should have no trouble at all. This thing is so superior to fiddly little cordless gizmos... no comparison.

Glad it's working well for you. My "fiddly little cordless" Dyson has all the power one could reasonably want and since it's portable and not permanently installed in the trailer I can use it to vacuum the dog hair and other debris that accumulates in the truck too. Also great for vacuuming vehicles at home, so kind of dual purpose. TEHO.

Cool! Obviously I've got a lot to learn about the present state of cordless stuff! My experience (quite sonetime ago, I'll admit) wasn't satisfactory at all. Ah, but time and technology matches on. Have a great day!

Take a look at the Worx power share vacuum. I don't have one, but I have other Worx tools that I really like.

I upgraded my home Dyson V6 with a new one and put the old Dyson in my Sport 22. Only problem is where to locate the charger. Any suggestions?

Several years ago I installed a built-in in my TerraYacht but it takes up a whole panel. It works great, but needs 120vac and is very loud.
In my B&M we upgraded the cordless to a Dyson V10 (Costco or direct at Dyson web site) and it is powerful, versatile and, as MIKEINCA suggests, can be used for your tv too.

We too have the little Dyson, ours came with a 120 wall charger and a 12v charger. When we travel we can charge it in the truck when traveling, it is nice to have the AC/DC choice when traveling and boondocking

We have a Black & Decker lithium upright. It also converts to a hand held. Will run several times before needing recharged.

Dyson, too

...with the 12 volt charging adapter. DW is a part time destructive testing engineer specializing in vacuums. She uses them to clean the driveway and move heavy furniture. Her requirements are simple: pull fasteners out of the underlayment through the floor covering, demonstrate efficacy via visible means, run for hours on a five minute charge, and stow in a shoe box. Fortunately, she understands the principles of compromise, and has settled on the Dyson portable.

I knew the Dyson would be popular, but I didn't want to spring for that much $$$$. I have a Shark Ion Flex cordless at home, loved it, but it was pricey too; $$$. So I went on eBay and found another version of the IonFlex (the difference is the attachments and color) for $125 as an 'open box' sale. So I now have multiple batteries. The Shark battery is removable so it can be charged separately.

I learned that Shark has so many models, you can find one on Amazon that the customer service people at Shark don't know exist. So asking questions is an exercise in futility. But the products are good.

Another Vote for Dyson. We have the V11 Animal Stick from Costco and love how small, lightweight and power it is. The downside is that it is expensive.
