Inverters are great while going down the road. However the appropriate
12V plug in for your model of laptop will work longer / better when dry camping.
I use a Black and Decker power pack when I can't get a 120v plug close enough to the putting green. (I've got 280' of cord too.) and rather than use the inverter section to power the 120v brick I use the
12v side with the car cord. I can run all day unless I've got my USB broadband plugged in.
Remember when running on
12v and not recharging to dim your LCD as this is the biggest power hog on your laptop.
Airbags? We don't have any airbags in our AS! Oh, and the laptop is on the pedestal between the seats. It's the navigation station while going down the road. The big screen display works best for the old eyes.
