When I first looked at this I thought the cylinder in the photo was an LPG tank, but see now that it is the engine exhaust muffler.

I like the larger feet on your jacks. I have a smaller disc on the CLIPPER. I use rubber pads when I am on asphalt or soft ground.

What a beautiful coach!! I am jealous....love my diesel Landyacht but full-timing with it shows the limits. No slides but I do have washer dryer....would rather have a larger freezer but the Dometic units will not fit in my basement storage. Would have to delete the washer dryer and reuse that space.

Hope you make it to the Rally in Michigan later this month. Would love to see it up close! This is giving me the bug to go shopping again

Bob, I'm told there is a company in Florida that specializes in replacing motorhome fogged windows and they have a good reputation. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name, but perhaps if you Google search "motorhome replacement windows florida" you might get a hit.

I’m waking up the 2007 396XL. It needs a good cleaning. Fired up the side by side fridge, AC’s, electrical system, water system, etc. I’m taking it to Cooperstown for the Labor Day weekend, and will decide if I’ll take it to the Tetons next summer. I have (6) 255/80R22.5 (DOT 3912) that are coming off to be replaced by the same make Michelin 275/70R22.5 which are the correct size for the 07 396XL. I’m going to also try and remove the 3M clear protective mask that was applied at the factory when new but needs to be removed. The usual fogging if the dual pane windows has me looking to replace them with laminated glass over the winter. Regards, Bob Click image for larger version

It’s amazing how stuff stops working when you don’t even use it. Great....another list. Fantastic fan in bedroom, upgrade water pump for better shower flow. Fired up the ice maker, going to pull the side by side out and install a baffle and vent fans for better operation. I’m also going to do a tune to the diesel and bring it from 400 to 450 horsepower and monitor the changes. It cleaned up real nice on the inside this week. I also ordered the new 275/70R225’s Michelin’s today.Click image for larger version

I received the final estimate for the new laminated glass to replace the original front side windows (double pane) which are all fogged up. I guess I could have repaired the originals but they would probably fog up again and I don’t feel like doing the job twice. I’ll have the glass delivered here and one of my glass guys will help me remove the frames and replace the glass then re-install the frames. I finished all of the maintenance items and we are ready for the trip to Cooperstown this weekend ! I’m still having trouble with the levelers....it’s in the wiring, just need a couple of hours to sort it out. We put it through my classic 2 hour road test last Sunday and we are good to go. Wow! Send Pics! I have that exact issue. I tried to remove the dining room window and clean it with just chemicals. Ended up putting yarn on a straightened coat hanger to scrub the glass. Sadly it left a pattern, though it is no longer fogged. I think I will just get the Dave Root kit and take my windows apart, and replace any glass I break. Drivers window looks the hardest.

I found an original aisle light (NIB). Either the PO or the selling dealership decided to remove the one located in the kitchen on the dinette wall when they installed the central vac. The wiring was still there so it was an east install. The new front side window laminated glass will be here soon. I upgraded the passenger slider to dark grey to match the windows in the kitchen/dining/living room. The others have to stay DOT light blue. The bedroom fantastic fan is now fantastic again. That particular fan has a pretty cool wireless remote control which can be helpful so you don’t have to get out bed, lazy ass that I am........Click image for larger version

Another great trip to Cooperstown ! We’re definitely going to take the 396XL to the Tetons and Idaho next summer. I really screwed up my left shoulder last week so I have not been able to do my usual work load, been popping Tylenol’s like M&Ms the last few days and getting a lot of sleep. Maybe I’m just starting to fall apart, I turned 60 a couple of weeks ago. I sit here looking at the 396XL and the list of work keeps getting longer. The electric step motor burnt out Friday before we left, at least it’s in the up position. I got the leveling system key pad reset but still have to deal with the wiring problem in the rear near the pump, I believe it’s a ground problem. The front side windows (6) should be here in a couple of weeks and that will take care of the fogged window issue. I broke the red handle off the escape window in the bedroom testing it. I’m skinny so I can fit out the slider if I have to. I need to figure out how the solar system works. The city water connection regulator leaks behind the panel and I want to ad a water spigot in that cabinet for a garden hose so that’s on the list for the winter. Still have the overheating issue after the first ten miles of driving.....I’m going to replace the thermostat (s) when I get back. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

I just finished cleaning the engine compartment. Getting ready to change the thermostat. I now have the correct windows coming for the left side. I ordered the incorrect windows for the left side cause I was to lazy to check their measurements. The first picture will show the correct measurements, the second picture will show the incorrect measurements. I now have a set of incorrect left side windows so if anyone needs them at a great price let me know. They are solid 7/16” laminated glass windows and u can ship them from my loading dock, Regards, Bob Click image for larger version

Getting it all jacked up and ready for brake service and new tires, found the sway bar links need to be replaced, also noticed that the front end only has one leveler adjuster....on the left side. Gonna order a set of centramatics as well. Regards, Bob

All wheels, valve stems now done. The rear hallway and the shower skylights are now removed. Waiting for new brake shoes/drums. A lot of little projects to get ready for the Idaho trip next summer. Found the same electric water hose reel that I got for the 370LE. A few water leaks to repair behind the exterior stainless water closet wall. Getting ready to remove all the fogged front windows. Replaced the front sway bar bushings as they were worn out. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

Wow! Not having a 16 person patio on the roof sure leaves a lot of space for solar
