Freightliner wiring diagram

Need the wiring diagram for a 1997 Airstream Cutter 35' diesel pusher. I have the diagrams from Airstream concerning their contribution, but there is no diagrams for the Freightliner XC chassis side, i.e., ignition switch etc.

You should be able to get any information you need on the chassis from your local Freightliner Dealer.

What specific is the problem?

Most problems with electrical are ground or poor connections. The wiring is only exposed at these locations. Poor fuse contact, or weak solenoids, can usually be diagnosed easily.

I started out removing the tube tv enclosure from the dash and had to remove the dashboard to get all the screws out. During this process I decided to go ahead and fix the cracked Freightliner instrument cluster (done) and remove the obsolete Viper alarm system from the harness and replace the plastic faux claro walnut dash with real red oak. I removed the old tube backup monitor and restored the original ignition key switch to it's pre-viper condition, but I'm sure that the lights blinked with the alarm and there are splices in the original Freightliner harness. A schematic would same much time.Click image for larger version

I keep thinking I can fix anything that goes wrong in the RV, then I see how messy it can be underneath and it scares me.

Hang on, I'll be done in a couple more days and post a pic. The Red Oak dash is coming out nice and the Viper wiring is extricated. Cleaned out all the vent tubes and will probably install round a/c vents rather than the square stock ones.

Did you ever get a wiring schematic. I have purchased a 1998 cutter that has some wiring gremlins and I need a schematic also. Having signal light, wiper, and a bunch of other minor issues. Previous owners have cut insert replaced wires etc with no rhyme or reason and I am trying to get everything to function again.

Have you tried reaching out to Freightliner directly or using their app? They offer excellent customer service. Their app is called Freightliner 24/7. I don’t know if it provides information on a chassis that old, but it’s worth a try.
