Docking Lights not working 396 XL
I have checked the fuse, works, switch says they are turned on, NO lights. All six are not working?
Any help will be appreciated.

start at the fuse and see if it is Hot. the fuse can be good but may not be fired up.
If it is then trace the wire to one of the closest lights

Yep, start checking from the fuse on out. Is everything else working normally?
I'll have a look at my wiring diagrams to see if any thing is special about the dock light circuit.

Dock Lamps
Are you working on 2001 36' Land Yacht XC or have you got another that is not listed in your info?
All OEM information is available for the units later that 1998 on-line.
Did they work recently? You should have left and right switches? so they should work independent. You need to check for power at the switch first.
Could be a bad relay, but need the year and model to find location on spec. sheets.
The sealed beam lamps (H9411 GE HALOGEN TRUCK SEALED BEAM LAMP)
are rather expensive. They were used on the 90's Chev pickups.

I have a 2005 396 XC with the docking light problem. I just purchased this one last month. Have a few other problems with this neglected coach. It sat up for at least 3 years. Thanks for the help

Dock Lights
Mine has two switches for left and right. On the drivers side the circuit also includes the rear flood lamps, that also activate with reverse gear. Try putting it in reverse to see if these lamps work, and then turn left switch on. If its a ground, this may be enough to activate the relay??
Let us know what you find.

All,
My Furnace fuse blew, I looked at the fuse panel- it was clearly marked furnace,
Fuse was fine, -- After hours of tracing wires, it hit me " What if the panel was labled wrong? ----that easy, the fuse for the bathroom fan was really for the furnace
So my advise go back to the fuse panel and check all fuses.
Good luck

If fuses and switch are good, I would look for ground, my LY has a ground near the front right docking light. Bad thing about schematics is that they don't locate actual wire point. If it was sitting for 3 years check for rodent chewed wires.
You say the switch is turned on but did you test for 12v at it's contacts? My driving lights have to be on to get the auxillary headlights to work.

sure is, My wife, from Orrville has been going up for youth camp since 1955 or so. our children attended and worked there for many summer s when they were old enough.
Now we all go back for family reunions with our four children and 9 grandchildren.
we do like the homes to the west and I know about where you are. We have friends from the Marion area where you are also.
we may try to attend the rally at the Wayne co fairgrounds in April also. the 8th. or so. like being home again.
