This applies specifically to the Clipper but may apply to other models with side window emergency exits.
The Clipper Class A is a top of the line unit but that emergency exit
( I swear you can see the earth's curvature 
) is top of the world when you look down from the rear bedroom exit window. There is a good possibility that it will get hurt when you hit the ground if you have to exit in a hurry.
Before embarking on our Yukon trip in 2008 I thought it best to address the problem and remove one more concern that one thinks of in the middle of the night.
To find a workable solution that would not break the bank, or create other problems of storage etc, I tried different ideas and came up with this which works quit well.
We had two fire drills after completion, and are comfortable with the modifications made.
Material: White PVC 4" pipe cut lengthwise for the window ledge.
Foot rails made from a donor aluminum lawn chair. (Covered with pipe wrap insulation.)
Anti mark and placement ends from excess pool toys.
3/8 rope.
Anchors made from stainless bathroom assists.
I also installed a spring support to keep the window open. I salvaged it from an older truck canopy door, but they are available from any RV outlet.
The assembly stores together above the bedroom window and and total weight is about 4lbs.
To assist in getting to the window level we store a collapsible stool between the bed and the cabinet.
We hope to never have to use it in an emergency, but we do plan to have another fire drill this season just to refresh our memory on what we are going to do.
