brake controller, a little help please

I want to add a brake controller to the MH. I have had good luck with a Tekonsha controller in the past.

Has anyone added a brake controller to their MH? Can you give me your setup?

Also, I saw a MH towing a car on the highway and they had lights stuck on the car for signaling. Any recommendations there? I am towing a vintage prelude.

I have some information on my Clipper setup here.

Depending on your location, you might be required by law to have a breakaway brake system installed on your toad.

I see you are in NY and that state weight limit for brakes is 1000lbs. So you will have to have an emergency breakaway system installed if I am reading it right.

ah, need to update my location!

anyway, I'm actually going to tow the prelude via a towmaster dolly w/electric brakes, which should change the suggestions/recommendations (sorry about that!)

I've got a 2012 Interstate, flat-towing a 2013 Honda Fit (see picture), so it's probably not directly comparable to your setup.

If you're using a dolly, then supplemental magnetic-base lights would be the way to go. Roadmaster makes a pretty good set. On edit— The dolly may already have brake lights/turn signals on the fenders, so you might not need supplemental brake lights on the car in order to be legal.

Dolly should already have a breakaway system for the brakes, so no worries there.
