Propane tank sending unit

Hi all,

After spending two years with our Land Yacht, and running out of propane twice, finally decided to work on the on-board monitor. Propane tank always read full. Checked ground, wiring, etc. I pulled the sending unit from the face of the gauge and noticed some little metal thingy's ratteling around inside the sending unit. I took this as sending unit failure and after e-mailing Rochester Gauges, was supplied with local distributor who would "NOT" sell me the unit. Luckily, I have an account with our local co-op and they were able to order the part for me and I could go to the distributor to pick up. Monitor panel now gives the correct reading. If anyone has this problem on older LY the part is a 0-90 ohm GM part #IP5628S0237 Twinsite Sending Unit, screw on type. This new part number replaces the older unit (5-2063), which had two male terminals, and the wires must be soldered together. The new unit comes with instructions, replacement screws and two special solder sleeves to make the connections. I paid $41.00 for the new one.
Hope this helps someone else!
