Price when new?
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a general idea of how much a 1997 30' landyacht originally sold for?

I have a 1998 LY 30. When i got my plates in Michigan, they placed the new price at $81,000 for plate valuation

Oops, I should have been more specific - I was thinking of the Motorhome LandYacht. But interesting to get the different figures. thank you for the replies!
But instead, interesting that in Michigan (maybe other places too) they do the plates by value. Here in Nova Scotia it is done by weight. Just as long as they get their money.

Go to NADAguides.com the rv section and get a value of your trailer today and it should also so the suggested list price when it was new.

We have a 2001 30' Land Yacht, second owner. The original window sticker is right at $99500.00. With a few more K in add on's that he had installed shortly after purchase.

Hmmm. Checked the NADA guide, and before we put $$ into it we paid more than the price listed! Of course we are usually in the buy high/sell low group. ��Some things we are better off not knowing........ But we are still pleased with our coach.

According to the original invoice we received with the MH our 1992 36' Land Yacht came in at $111,000.00 when new.

According to the original build sheet, my 1997, 35' Land Yacht WB, diesel, had a retail price of $146,733. It has the XC-275hp Cummins engine and the washer/dryer combo which were the most expensive options available.
The 7kw diesel generator and leather lounge were the only optional items not selected by the original owner. I still have the fabric samples that were selected.
I plan to scan this document as well as the original sales brochure and post in the forum for future reference. While in Jackson Center last summer, the Airstream Factory confirmed that only 15 diesel wide bodies were built in 1997. Mine was #8.
