Legacy???

We have a 1992 34ft Airstream Legacy. It seems as though this is a one of a kind animal. On this forum I see lots of Land Yaht postings but no Legacys. Looking at other forums and sites selling used MH I see no Legacys. Was the Legacy a flop by Airstream, and nobody bought them or what?

Pinnacle

Geodrake,
I was just reading the latest edition of Airstream Life and the eBay Watch column lists information about an advertisement for an Airstream Pinnacle mobile home that looks a lot like your avatar picture, but it is hard to tell, your avatar picture is pretty small. The article states that ..."the vast majority of Pinnacles were built by the Thor West division..." Is the Airstream badge on your coach anywhere on the interior or exterior? Could you post some more pictures of the unit?

I did find this link to Fred's Airstream Archives for an Airstream Legacy...

The decals on the front of the unit has the word Legacy in big letters, and below that in smaller letters it says By Airstream.

I don't have other photos at this time and we are packing the MH today in preparation for hitting the road in the morning, so i won't be able to post other photos at this time.

Rare Bird

Geodrake,
You truly must have a rare bird. Have a nice trip (where are you headed?) and take care of that rare Airstream

I have a 1993 Airstream 34" Legacy deisel pusher and it looks just like the picture you have shown. I have never seen one like it before myself.

Smile Legacy

We have a Legacy, we bought used last year. The interier was in great condition (it has some leaks since) with real oak cupboards, etc. Love it.
I don't know when you posted your question buy I am going to read on to see if i can learn any more.
Thanks!

More Legacy

I posted already but wanted to say more and didn't see an edit button so I will add here, our Legacy is a 30 foot, gas engine, looks much like the one in the photo.

I believe the Legacy MH which are a fiberglas body, were a knock off version of the fiberglas body Land Yacht, much the same way Airstream made the Argosy trailers and MH's similar to their aluminum Airstream models. Basically the same, with minor, mostly cosmetic differences. Probably selling for a little less money. Not sure how many years Airstream did this, maybe just a few, perhaps reason for the rarity. I've seen a half dozen of them, both diesels and gas models for sale through the years. There are a couple of them in my area that are white in color with the same Legacy decals you have only blue, also camped next to one last fall same color and markings as your coach, so there are a few of them out there.

1992 AS Legacy 31'

Just bought a 92 AS Legacy. Great shape other than roof has some leaking problems. This should be an easy fix. Anyone know where I can find seat covers and slip covers for the couch? My AS has a 454 with 114,000 miles on it and still holds 150 # compression. This will be fun..

Just completed the roof fix on my 1992 Legacy 30' real simple fix and this should be the last time it needs it done.. Took around 6 or 7 hours and $300 and I seem to have fixed what no one else could... This is a real nice unit other than the leak... I wonder how many of these were made? Any one Know??

Bought a 1992 Legacy 31 in Nov, what a nice unit. In the process of new striping of the outside, buffing out old finish. Fixed the leak in roof for the last time.. Love this thing.

Looks like a Land Yacht to me, although the photo is kind of small to be sure. Hope you're having fun.
