intermittent wipers

Hello, I have a 2004 Land Yacht 26ft motorhome. The wipers work, but the intermittent doesn't. Is there a fuse for this or a module. And were would the module be located. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Rusty

Thumbs up Unless my grey cells have failed me...

Rusty,

Welcome Aboard.

....You most likely need the wiper pulse board.

Not positive if this is the proper P#, you can check with a Workhorse (Chevy) dealer.

The board is under the cover for the wiper motor.

Thank You Sir. Nice to be here. The Chevy workhorse dealer, would that be a truck dealer ? I have a Chevy dealer here, but he said nothing comes up for a workhorse chassis. Thanks again Rusty

Thumbs up

Rusty,

Here are the Pa Workhorse dealers

The wiper motor fits a wide range of GM vehicles, the module should be available at quite a few Chevy stores if you can get the part#.

At one point my wipers would only work on HI.....nothing less. Had started looking for a new switch cause I knew the motor and arms were okay. Fortunately my Dad (89 yrs old) was having a good day and in a discussion told me it was likely caused by lack of use. Told me to play with the switch with key off and moving it through all the setting. Guess what....it worked!!!

Mine has a round knob (similar to headlight switch) that turns for the delay feature and a slide switch with 4 positions. Hi...Low...delay.....Off

My motorhome takes a pulse monitor that plugs in under the dash. I replaced that with a new one, but the intermitten wipers still don't work. The low and high speed work, but not the intermitten don't. Is it the wiper motor going bad. If it is, do they make a better one than what is on there. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Rusty

Hey Rusty, I have a 30 ft 2004 land Yacht with the same issue.
Did you find anything more to solve your problem?
Thanks, Ron

I took my airstream to a workhorse garage. They replaced intermittent module and wiper switch. It still didn't work, so they looked farther and found a clip that was turned over that shorted the intermittent, so they had to replace intermittent module and wiper switch the second time. And now they finally work. I hope this help's you Ron. Wasn't cheap, but they do work. Thanks Rusty

Hope they didn't charge you for the second switch and module. Seems kind of like they were just shotgunning the repair instead of trouble shooting it.
