Front Marker Lights 12 V Question

I have one marker light that does not work. I could not get power to the fixture so I pulled the connector out and found one wire was not crimped down enough to hold the wire in. I removed the wire from the connector and then put a volt meter to the black and white wires. I don't get a reading. My question is, are the two wires hot? or is one a negative and the other a positive. Most RV's just use one wire for hot and the ground is the RV. Appreciate any advice on 12 volt power to the fixture.

I assume you have a fiberglass shell motorhome. This being the case there is no chassi ground and the black wire is serving as the ground.

Marker Light

Geodrake,
Thanks for the reply. I was able to pull the light off and also pull the rubber boot out of the hole (Very difficult with a slanted windshield). Yes, it does have two wires. The holder portion that the bulb fits into is completely unuseable though. Do you know where I could buy new marker lights? I have a 2003 AS LY (Gas). Thank you.

Any auto parts store has a selection of marker lights. There, you should be able to find a close replacement.

I replaced one of the marker lights on my '94 LY - ordered them through an Airstream dealer - I think they were about $10 for the whole assembly.
