I have the chance to buy a '31 foot land yacht, sovereign but I'm not sure what year it is. Neither is the seller as he inherited it from a family member. Is there a serial number or label somewhere? I"ve walked around it and only see the large emblems. Nothing for sure on the tounge or anywhere. Is there something inside? Thanks.
There should be an Airstream nameplate on the outside of the trailer near the door. The VIN is embossed right there. You didn't give a ballpark of what era trailer this is. On my '06 there's a VIN plate low on the roadside near the front. On my '74 Argosy it is below the front window. VINs also were stamped on the right side of the A-frame sometimes but that is frequently obscured by layers of paint or U-bolts. Sometimes there's a sheet of paper inside on the wardrobe door giving the actual GVWR of the trailer; I'm not sure if the VIN shows up there.
I'll check those places. I need to make a more thorough check anyway. The seller thinks it's an 80's model but I'm thinking it's older. You're in St. Could!? Are you in that Air Park near there?
I live in St. Cloud. The Air Park is at Clear Lake on Hwy 10 about 15 miles east of here. It might be a nice place for a Forums rally some day. Got to get going on that idea.
