Drilling holes in roof

Hi. I just purchased a 2001 Land Yacht 30 and will be placing 4 solar panels on the roof soon. On my last Class “C” I just used the good 3m stuff and glued them on the fiberglass roof.
My question is what is beneath the airstream fiberglass roof? If it’s wood, I may drill a few holes and use the 3m stuff to attach the panels. If if it’s Luan and foam, I will just glue them down.
I’m well aware of the possibility of water intrusion and will seal well.

Why drill? Just use the correct Sikaflex product

Here's how I attached my panels. The brackets are attached with sikaflex construction adhesive.

I agree. I would not put another hole in the roof unless I absolutely have to.

NO drilling needed

• wipe roof first with lighter fluid
• use 3M UHB &
• sikaflex construction adhesive.
• cover with the white RV roof tape to protect against UV
