Classic to Land Yacht move

We are considering selling our 31 foot Classic and buying a 39 foot Diesel Pusher. Have located a good "prospect" at fair price. Is this too big a leap? Should we look for a shorter Land yacht? We love the AS community and want to stick with the Brand...just a little tired of hitching up.

My concerns are.

1. Maintenance
2. Access to camping. We like state and national parks
3. Drive-ability. My logic says I am already handling a 50 foot vehicle when the Ram truck is attached, but are these motor homes hard to handle.
4. Are certain year models known for problems? leaks, etc. Lord knows I have had my share of leaks with two different Airstreams.

I have owned my 97 Landyacht diesel pusher for 5 years and love it!!! Planning to drive to Alaska next year and tow my Jeep behind. I have also had it on the Cape May ferry crossing from NJ to DE. Its shorter than most semi tractor trucks.
