Aluminum Airstream Motor Home?

What year did they make tha all aluminum Airstream in a diesel pusher?
Just wondering if it would be as good as the fiberglass Land Yacht diesel pusher that we've owned almost 10 years..

Paul.
If your referring to the newer body style aluminum MH's, I think they were produced starting in 1993 and ended early in 1997. AS good as your fiberglass LY? I am sure most would say better because of the aluminum factor.

Aluminum Motorhomes by Airstream

Ours are the 1993 to present Land Yacht design. I was asking about the ones that looked like the typical Airstream trailers, but were Motor Homes. I think they were the last series just before our style.
I was hoping somebody on the Air Forum had experience with them.

The Aluminum Diesel pushers were made in Late 94 and 1995. Rumor has it that there were 12 of them made. I know of two personally and the folks that have them love them. The Aluminum wide-body motorhomes were made from 93-97.

Aluminum Airstream Motor Homes

I remember seeing one in the Georgia Mountain Fair Campground in Hiawassee Georgia. It was parked, but nobody around. Not the same shape as ours. It had a rounded front and a rounded rear, all polished aluminum, awsome!
Years ago we tested one shaped like ours, but dull aluminum and I think some fiberglass. It was a 36' gas coach with a tag axle. What a dog, no pulling power and rocked down the highway like an old row boat.
You say only 12 of what I was asking about were made. Wow, must have been to expensive and to late to market, but sure lookrd good.

We had two diesel pusher Classic Airstream Motorhomes at IBT in Rayne, LA last week. I would love to know how many were actually made and are out there. They rarely come up for sale and are usually expensive for a 20 year old motorhome or for sale in California or Minnesota. That being said I would jump on one if it came on market reasonably close (southeast or Midwest).

Their is a 94 aluminum body diesel pusher for sale on RV Trader now. Asking over $100k and its got over 100k miles on it too. Appears the interior was upgraded and its been highly polished.

Last August I saw a gas version aluminum body Land Yacht with a tag axle at the Airstream Park in Helen, GA for sale. Heard these were heavy and hard to drive vs the diesels on the Freightliner chassis.
