Hello, I have purchased a 200w suitcase solar panel, I'm looking to install an on board port to avoid using alligator clips, I have never worked with solar before. My 2004 30' Land Yacht has the standard small solar panel mounted on the roof with no exterior port, I have no idea what it generates for voltage but it can't be much. 12 Volt Portable Solar Panel with Waterproof 20A Charger Controller). My question is, how to connect the portable solar panels through the existing system to upgrade the incoming voltage? I'd like to be able to see the charging process displayed inside the cabin if possible.
I've seen several different external ports advertised on Amazon, no idea how to install any of them. Thanks!
