Got the requests for the dummy light, nightstand and seat belt. I'll try to get pics later in the week.

We are going to keep it up for parts for maybe one more week, then we are driving it to the site where it will be scrapped fully, so if you want anything please PM me.

Don't forget that I still need the curb (passenger) side rear leveling jack. The easiest way to remove it is to remove the mounting flange bolts that go into the frame. Once removed the entire assembly will drop down. Then it's simply a matter of disconnecting the hose and unplugging the wiring.

If your motorhome has one that is not damaged, I would be interested in buying the night stand/cabinet that goes on the left-hand side of the queen-sized bed when you are facing the bed in the bedroom.

We haven't had time to touch it at all in the last month. Demands of work and family have overridden this project for now.

If I've promised you a part, I will eventually get it to you when I get slack time.

If you're into it, I may be interested in the leveling system keypad as well. I maybe also interested in purchasing the windshield washer reservoir too. Mine is in shambles. Your LY36 could sure same mine from a lot of wear.

Total parts list needed includes:

Curb side rear leveling jack
Rear left side dummy light (panel next to the turn signals)
Leveling system key pad.
Wind shield washer reservoir

Just let me know what the total shipped would be.

Update: It took a few days work, and a couple of dump truck loads of trash, but we are down to just the chassis now.

The superstructure frame was rusted through all the way down to the chassis. As sad as we are to scrap it, I'm more convinced now than ever that we never would have had a rig safe enough to put my young kids in and go down the road.

I'll be getting back to those of you looking for parts with shipping costs in the next few weeks hopefully.

We are 33+ hours into the tear down, and just about complete. Just need to harvest the few parts that are being sold to you guys, then someone is coming to pull the engine and transmission, and finally the rest is going to scrap.

Wow!!! That's what I call a tear down. Should have yielded a good amount of salvageable items for sale. How do you plan on parting with all the goodies? Are you going to list them on ebay or something? If so, you may want to post your ebay ID so that some of us can follow the sales.

Take your time on pulling the last parts. No hurry.

Can you provide information and or pictures of how the ceiling goes together. Our cap had been leaking but I don't think there is a need to remove the outer roof area. How are the inner ceiling panels installed? I have a little interior wood damage and want to replace the ceiling material as it has shrunk and the foam had deteriorated and is falling off. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I can see that all of the walls and cabinets will have to be removed which I've done before on trailers. Just not sure how the plywood panels are installed.

As far as I recall, the interior Luan was glued to the foam insulation. Getting it off without it tearing apart may be a tough nut to crack.

As I'm sure you're aware, if water has found its way inside, the damage in the structure may be far reaching. Hopefully you caught yours soon enough. The problem is when the Luan gets any water in it, it wicks it throughout the roof and it may never be able to escape. Even though we just had a cap leaking, moisture had been drawn throughout the roof and sat on the structure for years, rusting it completely through before it started to reveal itself inside.

When we removed the fiberglass off the top, it had been weeks since there had been any moisture, but the wood and foam were still wet. The grade of steel in the superstructure isn't all that great, and ours was rusted all the way down to the chassis.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help or positivity, just relating what our experience was.

I'm assuming that there are two layers of luan, one on top of the framework and one on the interior. I do have issues with the roof leaking and have some soft spots on the roof so I'm assuming I'll have to replace both the upper luan and put a new fiberglass roof on. Not sure of the cost for the fiberglass or even if it is available. May want to also look at the possibility of installing a rubber roof in place of the fiberglass. Initially I was looking at just replacing the interior luan and didn't know if it could be removed from the interior or if the roof had to be completely removed first. I'm hoping the steel structure is not too far gone, but even if it isn't the cost may be prohibitive for an 18 year old mh.
