Mine picks up crap in the container and the pump has to be cleaned every few years. There is a fuse, but, sounds to me that a good cleaning (with compressed air) is in order.

Has anyone had troubles with their Windshield Washer/Wiper control on the dash? Mine is kinda flimsy. Any thoughts were to find a replacement for that?
Thanks, Derek

As you probably already know, the old controler has not been available for over 4years. Contacted AM Equipment as per your reply. Butch was great and the switch for $15 and change plus freight should be on the way. Will report as to if in fact it works when I install it. It seems that it will do all I need!
Thanks again
Richard

Glad to help Richard. I was having fits with my driver side wiper. Pivot was bad, link bushings were shot and in my opinion the whole set up was poor because of the way the pivot is mounted on the radius of the front corner of the coach. It is not square to the motor and linkage. I was in the area so I stopped in and spent over an hour with Butch and learned a lot more about wipers than I ever wanted to know. Bottom line is I was able to put together a customized linkage that solved the problem. Butch also set me up to convert the two controls into a single control and add an intermittent function. My wipers are better than ever and I owe it all to Butch.
Cheers, Dan

The original module is no longer available but there is a replacement for it. I have attached the drawings for the original module & the replacement. The original is shown on drawing #66D0078 & the replacement is on drawing #66D0077. This part can be purchased from any certified Airstream dealer by ordering part #500989-100.
However, it is much cheaper to buy it direct from the company who took ove the licence from DANA. I bought direct from them and it worked fine and its the same part an Airstream dealer will supply. Look up the part number of the drawings and google it and that might tell you the manufacturer.
The transition between intermittent wipes i.e. if you set the wipers to go every five seconds wasn't so good as the original i.e. it was a bit binary; on or off, but hey - your wipers work!
I'll hunt around and see if I can find the reciept from where I bought it. The install is a bit of a pain because you have to drop the dash and the wiper module is tucked right at the back. It's a black box about 5" x 2" inches. Pull it out, rewire and you'll be in business. From memory, the wiring diagram was a bit rubbish, but we got there in the end.
Hope this helps
Nick

Hi - the part came from Rostra Precision Controls. The part number is on the diagram. Good luck!

I had the misfortune to have a shop try to jump-start 'Silver Bullet' with the leads reversed. Took out the backup camera 24V power supply, radio, (exploded) battery, starter, and the wiper control.
Had to replace: Radio, Starter, and Battery.
Fixed:
Backup camera (not made anymore, no diagram) Got a 12VDC-110VAC convertor, then 110VAC-24VDC convertor. Camera fixed.
Wiper control is made from off the shelf parts. Replace a diode, strapped the burn off lands and wipers work.
The repair shop it was at? I still talk bad about them.... Don't ever go to Kennedy Auto in Edmond, OK.
Oh, they broke the drivers side window latch too. Told me, "It's old, you got to expect things will break."
