Whose Headers?

I am in a quandry as to what brand of headers to consider on my Silver Queen 310 w/454. The full Banks performance pkg seems kinda pricey but maybe it is worth the difference. I think I have leaks aka cracked manifolds, so I need Headers, exhaust pipes, muffler, and tailpipe. Any suggestions??

Thanks 2air for the link. Hedman or Thorley seems to be the tube.

The PO had the full Banks installed. I've had the Silver Bullet for 12 years and 50K+ miles and had no problems with it. The Banks, that is.

Banks seems like the system, just wish I could get the price less than 2 Grand for it.

Thick flanges and ceramic coating is the way to go. Thorley headers are great. Had a set of Blackjacks and they sucked, rather leaked...blew collector gaskets all the time too.

The Banks Powerpac was well worth the investment on our 95 454 Burb.

Sooper stainless construction, no problems in over 165k and 15 Buffalo Winters, and thats say'n sump'n.

I had the Doug Thorley on a Chev Blazer and would highly recommend them.

On EDIT

Make sure you get the right mufflers and right size tailpipe or you will not get the desired results.

Roger that, Garry. I am well aware of the necessity of having low resistance mufflers, as well as opening up the air intake to let it breathe better all around. Hate the price but am still leaning toward Banks.
