That is just an awesome job. What a fine-looking rig.
Only thing is, it would kill me to have to put it in a storage yard where I couldn't look at it every day!
I'll be looking for you on the road. Shades on, of course.
Pat

Weren't you saying at the last get together that you didn't want it TOO shiny?
I guess polishing is like eating peanuts.... Once you start, its hard to stop.
Looks beautiful, especially in the snow, and its got to go at least 20 MPH faster!
How many hours did it take to get it to this stage of magnificence? And how many people were working on it at once?

Three people who new what they were doing work on it for 5 days. Not all day on one day. The shop was heated but still very cold. The stripping and washing had to be done outside. Sam has pictures of him power washing with the wind blowing everything side ways. Not ideal and had to strip twice as the adhesive plus the cold was a big problem. It is still not done as there are places that still need attention. Sam was starting a training seminar in Kentucky and needed to get there and we needed to get home before storm. Since we are going to California in May we are going to leave it there and he is going to finish it up. We will go to Yosemite while he finishes it. Then we are going to join Wbcci Caravan.

polished in 2017
I don't mean to be to much of a bummer , but, we had our 1975 25' International done by West Coast Polishing in August and our results are different than yours. It took 3 days for them to complete (good) It cost $165 a square foot totaling $4,450 (not bad, the other guy wanted 10 grand). But when we went to pick it up there was a young man with a polisher in his hands standing on the roof with no plywood down? (oh oh) then I noticed a number of panels that were warped from being over heated. Also there were big drip marks of some cleaning liquid on the tinted glass that seemed to have melted the tint.I was assured that the dents would pull out and the glass should "clean up". Sammy was nowhere to be found. We left and I called my insurance co. They told me to go to Airstream and get an estimate, so we went to the Portland store. $17,000 in damages. The insurance co paid and I had it repaired. That's just what happened to me and hopefully it was just a fluke and a bad day for them cause it sure turned out to be a headache for me. Buyer beware

Stripping & Polishing
Can anyone tell me a source for stripping and polishing my 36' Diesel Classic?
I'm located in Alabama.
Thanks,

WOW! I can hardly believe a company would be so horribly irresponsible and beyond stupid. Even if he was only one bad hire, the company is responsible for his work. They should have trained him extensively and his work should have been supervised for at least another three months after training. Did you sue for damages?
