Hi All,

I am looking for a teak shower floor mat to replace the shower mat that comes in the Airstream Interstate.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd rather not have a custom one made.

Thanks,

They are Neiko, 8 piece.
Not sure if they are super quality, but figured they would work for now..
I got them off Ebay... $53.90 for the set..

My tech friend installed a new camera and a monitor using the existing cables. Monitor is on all the time, unless I want to turn it off manually.
Was surprised to find huge opening where the cable enters the RV. It almost seemed like the nut should have been on the inside of the RV. I fabricated a small alu plate to slip over the hole with Vulkem for a permanent fix.
I have the original bw camera (supposedly in excellent shape) and the Monitor (has a narrow white line in the center), if anyone is interested in rebuilding their original set-up

Hmm, don't know about teak, but do you need teak?

You might go into someplace like bed, bath & beyond and look at sink mats. I have one from there in our stick house kitchen that would be perfect for that little floor.

It is bubble-look, but flat. Would wash easily and comes in a couple of colors, as i recall. Ours is charcoal.

New coolant reservoir!

Let's see, should I get a new OEM reservoir for $25 or a custom aluminum tank for $18 that comes with 5 liters of free beer?

I vote beer!

So, should I leave the labels on or go for the stripped and shiny look?

Ha ha, of course you would vote shiny! Me, I'm more inclined to stick with my hillbilly roots and leave the labels just for grins! But getting all the bits in place to make this a functional reservoir is where the fun begins...

Need to adapt the top piece with the tubes so it can be removed for filling; need a level indicator tube on the side, and the two low level sensor bolts.

Here are a couple pics from a homebrew site (MMMM DIY) that shows the top of the keg...

Beer hats for the RV!

Add other great things from RockAuto these past two weeks...

Shocks, steering stabilizer, water pump, alternator, fuel pumps, filters, hoses, belts, thermostat. New radiator in a couple weeks. Dropped the fuel tank today to repair/replace the sending unit, 58 gallons of gas that had to be pumped out and stored. I LOVE being a motorhead!

I like that electrical panel!!!!
Nice stuff!

I had a little win today...
My original steering wheel was toast, and I got quoted about $300 to recover it..
Here it is in all its glory..

Had an Ebay Gift certificate from my son!
Today, I won what looks like an identical OEM steering wheel...
The seller quotes that is a "Formuling Wheel" made in France.
It has the correct 9 bolt fitting and whilst mine measures about 17", and the seller quotes this as 16", I think it will work fine..

Steve, your new steering wheel looks great! Looks just like mine. I just measured mine and it is 16" so you should be fine.

By the way I still have that a/c interior cover sitting in the garage!

Steve, I like the new wheel! I'm going to use the steering wheel hub from the 345 in the Argosy but like your original wheel the one in the 345 was a mess. I did a little searching on ebay and came up with the following possibilities. I never liked the 3-spoke arrangement that Airstream used, it blocks off part of the speedometer and tach. I even tried turning the steering wheel upside down with the middle spoke up and that didn't help.

15.5" 9-hole 3-spoke steering wheel

15.5" 9-hole 2-spoke steering wheel

Here's something I bought for the Argosy a couple of days ago. Nice new A/C parallel flow 18x30 condenser. Now if I can just find the rest of the parts to make the dash A/C system work!

Thanks Guys!
I really feel lucky to have spotted it, as Derek and I had been talking about steering wheels last week, and how a wood rim would be nice...
I was doing a search, and trying different keywords and it popped up...
This was what the seller said...
This was installed on a prototype motorhome for a 2 week RV show about 15 years ago, then removed. I have kept if stored inside since. It's listed as "New - Other" as it wasn't really used, just mounted and shown. Looks like new and the leather is great (kept it soft).
It's been in a box in my garage for far too long! If you're looking for a 16" dia. Brown Leather Wrapped replacement or upgrade for a GM chassis motorhome (P30 or van - that's almost all brands), standard boat mounting, van, truck or ?, it will be hard to find a nicer one. The leather is nice (see the pics) with no cracking.
The photos show the leather a bit darker than it is. It is a true brown, slightly dark brown, not black. Stamped "Made in France" on the back.

What is important to know is that that 9 bolt pattern is quite common.
Yes, Brad, I saw those wheels and liked them, but living here in CA and having that billet aluminum on the back could be an issue!
I will keep my old one, and when we have the money to have the interior seating done, I will polish the spokes and have it recovered in matching leather!

Dean, Your MH is a gem, and then fact that your father cherished it and you have so many memories is a pleasure to behold!
Please PM me on that cover, as I still want/need it!

I really hesitate to buy anything from those hokey loud TV adds but the induction cooking system from Nu Wave seemed like a pretty slick system for the RV. Anyone have any experience with induction cooking?
