The Zeppelin (1991 350) has what appears to be a fitting for a water filter under the galley sink, but has no filter in it. It is metal, blue, round, fluted, and screws on and off. It is in the main water supply line to the sink faucet, not the heater for coffee-tea. (No photo before the weekend!)
Does anyone:
1. Have a similar fitting?
2. Know what filter is was made for (if any)?
3. Know a source for the filters?
I use a double filter on my CCD. The first being a particulate filter that is white and liike like spun fiberglass (it isn't though) and the main filter is solid block carbon (SBC).
If you're running just one filter, I would go with the SBC and add an in'line screen to the end of your hose fitting. It should work well, and you should notice a definite improvement in the taste and quality of your water.
I like my filtered water better than the bottled stuff you buy in the grocery, which uses a very similar process and is labeled 'spring water'.
