waste water valves
I haven't posted about our trip out west, and I will eventually, but need some assistance.
My blackwater tank is now leaking past the shut off, (nice surprise); I looked at the Classic stickies to find information on what type of shut off they are, but couldn't find out any info.
Camco sells a three inch shut off valve at CT, link below. Will they work or not?

The trailers from that era use Thetford valves. I do not know what the MH used. Available from Amazon and from Outdoors Mart. I ordered mine from Outdoors Mart since I knew they would have the right one.

Tony, I did this job last winter, I'll dig up what info I have (buried somewhere in my thread?
Not fun, but all things considered not a terribly difficult job

Get one of these for emergencies. These are life savers. Do you have a center bath or rear bath. I ended up using the old Thetford valves since I have a center bath and things are shoe horned in there pretty tight.

Page 32 of my thread begins documenting the fun I had with this
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f311...178802-32.html
Tl;dr, just order this
https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Sewer/Valterra/T84B.html
The old ones are held in with a hose clamp and vulkem, disassemble and crawl under with a heat gun to work them out, installation is the reverse of deintegration
The parts that slide into the tanks are 3" spigots, i ended up with hardware store fittings between the two valves but I think the linked fitting would have saved me time and money

Here is my adventure. The Thetford flanges were already there so it was easier to replace same with same especially since my tank pans were not coming out unless I broke every bolt holding them up.

Huh, a PO must have changed things a bit. I have LaSalle Bristol 3" waste valves. I've order 2 replacements.
I should be able to loosen stainless steel screw ring clamp on tank side; undo four bolts holding waste gate in, remove and insert new waste gate, and bolt everything back up.
This is where I should do a Mayco and say "easy peasy"; shouldn't take 10 minutes.[emoji57] But I know better than to say that.
Bought two new valves with seals and bolts for $61 and change, Canadian, delivered.
I"ll let you all know how it goes.
Cheers
