There's a link for the blade too.

Might be cheaper to cannibalize one of these.

I dont recall where I scavenged it, but I found a aluminum blade that is larger and has better flow than the original. It is fairly quiet too.

so I can hook up one of these fans that only has a "cigarette lighter" power plug.
These fans are readily available with, what looks like the same fan?

I've got remnants as well if needed.

Just a suggestion, what about replacing it with a Maxxair fan? I replaced mine and added a second Maxx air in the back bedroom. The Maxxair has a 10" fan with variable speed, reverse direction, a cover that allows use of the fan in the closed position.

One of the best mods I've done to my coach.

Cheers
Tony

Tony, how do you set it to get it to run with the lid closed? Mine shuts off when I close the lid. We may have different models of the Maxxair.

@Brad,

I have a higher top speed than John, but only just barely as he has a bigger turbo and has turned up the tap on his fuel pump. For some reason he has no problem running at 2800+ rpms, where as I like the Mistress at 2250-2400 rpm; less hectic, more time to enjoy the sights and better mpg's; SO, this year he's behind me for the trip down and back.

Mike; dang it, I should have kept my trap shut.

Cheers

Thanks again Tony,

Took a quick search on Kijiji and found a Maxair fan and vent that I just met and bought. Any tricks/tips to installing(came with no instructions) but looks straight-forward. Or any threads on the forum?

Take your time and use a Fein saw to cut the hole bigger as it has to be 14" square and the OEM hole is not. Have a friend hold a piece of wood as close to the saw blade as possible from down below to cut down on the aluminum flapping around, as you cut from up above; also watch out for wires. On a scale of 1-10 for difficulty, it rates about a 4. Just take your time and cut a 14" square piece of wood to act as a guide or pattern.

You'll love the extra airflow and quietness of the fan.

We have friends with a place to stay just below the Pinery's, maybe we will meet up. I'll PM you if we are going to be in the area.

Cheers
Tony

Thanks much Tony

"Fien saw", is the a "saws-all"? Or a jig saw?
I'm assuming saws-all with a longer blade.
Great tips, looking forward to, I had one in my Argosy and loved it!
