Unexpected visitor

Been travelling on business for the last two weeks (11 flights, 12 days, 7 countries type thing) so even though I have stuff to do, we decided to take it easy and walk to the beach (we only live about a 3/4 of a mile but rarely go there).

Guess whats parked up behind some beach huts next to the beach, a 1980 Excella (looks to be a 28ft)?

Looks like they maybe set up for an extended stay (the local beach is very popular for dinghy, windsurfing and jet and water-skis so some folks camp out all summer) but we asked all around and no-one knew whose it is.

If we moho owners looked at other women, inquired into other women, stalked other women and spent time with other women like we do Airstream and Argosy moho's, our respective wives would have Bobbitized us along time ago.

How long did you hang around, poking here and there, looking under the skirting...

Cheers
Tony

Does it make a difference if Denise spotted it first and took the photos?

Sounds like you're in the clear....this time...

Amazing that it showed up almost in your back yard!

Yeah, you're good to go as long as Denise has a firm grip on the cheque book and your nads.

Again though, interesting door below drivers area (battery) and what's with the weird moulding below the passengers seating area?

Cheers
Tony

The WBCCI Europe guys are in the UK this week (they had a caravan down to Lands End, and we have a rally next weekend in West Sussex) so my first reaction was it must be part of the 'touring' group. But it is UK registered and obviously well used, so I will check again tomorrow to see if it is still there.

The battery box was standard from 1977 to when they moved under the floor, but I have no idea what the moulding is.

I've seen that before on some models and I vaguely remember that has something to do with the univolt. I think in some models it was beside the passenger seat and was vented.

You are correct Brad. The trim is to vent the univolt. The battery box on the driver side is exactly like my Excella 240. That's definetly a 24 footer
