I'm not sure I'd want to put either British Leyland or FIRST/Chrysler on my resume.😋

It does; that's why I will never buy one as I'd end up fixing it all the time and never drive it.......I ended up with a Jaguar XJS convertible instead.

Steve; your experiences at FIAT and BL have certainly made you the man you are today......a man that has an incredible ability to fix anything, but a masochist, at heart as you keep buying these vehicles (Lancia's and Airstreams) that you know you'll spend hours fixing; you are insane.

Cheers
Tony

How could you possibly work for British Leyland and not be an expert on electrical systems? With the Prince of Darkness as a mentor you are much too modest about your expertise.

Just got back from our 4 mile dog walk to Starbucks and back....
You know, 800 calories burned and 1200 put back it!

Reading these posts, pointing out my obvious insanity, from people with Airstreams.... and XJS's.... and more than one Airstream even, made me think!

My Ex, who was a "Psychologist", had a word for that....
Its called "Projection"!

What is PROJECTION? definition of PROJECTION (Psychology Dictionary)

A psychoanalytical theory, projection is the process whereby one subject believes they see attributes (both good and bad) in another. The theory views this tendency as a defense mechanism whereby unenviable or unpleasant traits, impulses or ideas are attributed to another. In this way, the projector is able to avoid the unpleasantness in themselves. However, the theory goes on to explain that in severe cases of projection, the condition of projection may degenerate into paranoid delusions to the point that the projector believes others are responsible for the projector's problems and are secretly plotting against them. The projection basically allows a subject to ignore faults within themselves.

Keyair is Giggling, as he dons his overalls, and enters his garage, to go beat some poor, defenseless piece of 3003 sheet aluminum into submission....

My fault is, I refuse to listen to my wife endlessly talking about my faults. If I listen, I'd be at fault for not taking some remedial action to correct her perceived fault.

Whose fault is that?

Where can I buy this projector?

I find this kind of ironic this is coming from the dude living on top of a fault; and a bloody big one at that.

Cheers
Tony

PS How did we go from toads to faults? Not my fault, it was Steve!

And, IMHO, sanity is STILL overrated. Especially when it comes to computes and Airstreams. Or Volvos, don’t forget the subtleties of Swedish engineering....supported a fleet of them for years.
