Thinking about picking up a spare 310...

Anyone have any info on this beaut? It appears to have a cleaner shell then mine. Gets me wondering if I should use this as a platform vs. the one I just drove back. Main downside to that is replacing the engine with a diesel. Opinions?

Clean looking - spare - may be the main ride if you get it.

why replace the engine with a diesel? You will never get the cost back in fuel savings. It looks like a nice unit in the photos, and the price is good too.

I totally hear you on the fuel savings. The main reasons is my friend whom I'm doing the project for really wants to run on bio, or WVO.

Oh man, the aluminitus is in my blood! My dad wanted an airstream since he was 12, and finally, at the age of 64, he bought one! I really wish this RV was for me, but it's for my good friend, who'll be using it extensively. The more research I do, the more I want one of my own though....
I guess one day the TT will be mine, but after pulling the TT a few times, I think I prefer a Moho.

Send Smartstream a PM; he's close-by and will take a look.

If you've got a nice, warm shop, plenty of time and, did I forget?, lots of money, a diesel retro is a great idea, but it's not going to pencil-out. I'd never consider running bio or anything else in our Isuzu. I've heard that the after-market boys have improved the manifold problems the 454s had and they run cooler, now. No frying steaks on the manifold anymore.

Smartstream was very kind and did an inspection on the coach. It looks like its in exceptional condition. I'll probably swoop up there this weekend and pick it up! Now to reassess our plan. Keep both mohos and clean both up? Or sell one.... Thing is with my friends business, he could put two to good use. Guess it all depends on the budget!

If you have the room, having the spare parts would be one heck of a savings account...having TWO that run...??? PINCH ME!!!

Ditto! Glad that worked out with Dan taking a look at the old dear. Knowing him, I'm suprised he didn't buy it and sell it to the Brits.
