The early 90's MH have this "fancy" center panel(s) on the ceiling, covered in mouse fur. Unfortunately, the PO allowed several leaks to stain it beyond recovery. So I tackled the recovering with a high grade automotive vinyl. Tough job, fortunately I figured out how to pull 2 of the panels down and work on them in my shop.
I used Landau top commercial Contact cement to withstand the 120 plus summer temps and covered the ugly wall while I was at it.
Left the old recessed lights in place and added a few LEDs

Nice
Were you able to install the ceiling center panel by yourself? If so, any tips?!

I didn't have a clue how to remove those panels. Buried in the mouse fur, I found some small set screws on 1 side. Once those were removed the lip on the other side acted like a hinge. The long panel needs more than 1 person to install.
I checked on Freds archive and it looks like they first started to use these in the 1989 LE's.

So airstream made a change in how the panels are installed, interesting. I've removed the old style panels before but have not as yet re-installed any of them!

To paint the front and rear skirt of my 350 took 5 rattle cans of automotive primer and more than 1 quart of Acrylic automotive paint (the stuff that takes hardener and reducer). I spray it @50# with a Binks conventional sprayer with an inline water filter. It would have taken at least 8-10 cans just for that, but never achieving the same thickness.

some before and after pictures. Acrylic metallic automotive paint needs to be stirred constantly to avoid settling of the heavier metals. (don't asked me why I know)

Due to all the unexpected time off, I am moving right along with the interior refurbishing. Not sure how you guys handle it, but this 350 resto has kept me occupied and away from the so overwhelming news every day. Waiting for the chairs to come back from the upholstery guy.

Need help to figure this out:
Its located next the steering column, but not connected to it.The very top portion of this unit has a linkage to original cruise control. It has a fat ~1" hose going to the back (trans I assume right now) with a sending unit half way. It has an open ~1/2 port. I also found a second port on my steering pump tank, which was clamped shut (and leaking).
What was the function of this unit?

Vertical window seal
This has been discussed several times over the years. Well, here is again, how to replace the vertical seal of the cab window. You may find that the one in place now is the original one, which is very hard to remove. Cutting the slot also helps tremendously with removing the old one.

Finally got around to replacing the lower belt line. I prefer to use olympics for the rivets. Such a nice look.
I also had the torn fabric inserts of the passenger seat replaced with this blue vinyl I am using as accents. My upholstery guy declined to do it, unless I would do the material removal and installation myself and just deliver the material to him. Now I understand why, it took me 1 1/2 to remove it and 5 !! to put it all back together. The armrest and the head rest and all the cable driven mechanics make it extremely difficult.
