Also found floor rot along the floor channel on the rear street side just forward of the fuel inlet. I checked all adjacent water lines and they appear to be fine. Must be an external issue related to the long awning draining down the side. Unless I have some toilet supply issue buried in the cabinet.

Found suspect gap on the bottom rub rail, applied some pigment and hosed it down, voila found it. Massive water intrusion due to Airstreams brilliance of overlapping the wraps over the skin. So all the lower rub rail is suspect. For the time being in will Tempro 635 to seal the top of the rubrail, until time allows to pull it all off and seal the gap under the rub rail

Any suggestions on what type of fuel filter I could add by tank. I think the only 2 filters currently used may be the internal tank filter (i am guessing) and the very fine mesh at the injectors.
I am also contemplating to add a secondary high pressure fuel pump, that could be used in emergency or demand situations. Is there such a thing as a high pressure non restrictive flow through fuel pump?

Our ‘90 345 has one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...&condition=all
mounted near the tank. Apparently pretty common, the NAPA store in Juneau, AK had a replacement cartridge for it sitting on the shelf a few months ago.

The only issue I can think of that might be a problem is fuel injection systems are pretty picky about the pressure supply. It would sure be interesting to find out if you could add a second pump.
The only other thought is if the in-tank pump dies would an external pump be able to pull fuel through the dead in-tank pump?

I happen to have the old in-tank pump on hand and yes it allows fuel to be pulled through when it is non operational. It does have a check valve.
So just for grins, I will install the external Facet pump controlled by a switch, as well as temporarily connect the internal to a switch as well. Then I can test all of the scenarios.
I will report back on this in a few weeks.

Completed one of the many systems today. The onboard fresh water system is fully operational, no leaks after replacing leaky and questionable fittings. Auto fill works, external works. Just need to source a new pump for the "DesertCooler" radiator mister. Previous owner installed a huge accumulator tank that will feed the system for a good while before pressure needs to be added by the onboard water pump.

I think that's part of a leveling system. I found something like that on the 345 when I was taking it apart.
Who knows, I might even have it laying around in a box somewhere.

I second Brad's response. It contains some mercury filled level switches that
tell you when you are level.

Thanks, I think all I have is the base of the original unit.
On other news, we dropped the tank today (thanks Tony for the pump trick, it helped a lot to get 70 gals of fuel out)
I also found a fuel filter on the rail which must have been original to 1992, look at the crud

Two questions, is that a centramatic between the duals? I thought they fit behind the wheels not between them. Also I noticed your two different styles of ramp construction, do you prefer one over the other and why? Thanks

Than I found this mess, modified fuel supply lines and the generator fuel line just dangling above the tank. Thanks Brad for your feedback this pm and offering a possible solution!!

Dan,
On the drive axle, they can only go in between the wheels. They do have slots for valve extenders. On the Tag the same type is mounted on the drum.
The first set of ramps on the left, I built 20 years ago when I was working on my 79. They are strong but showed wear and cracking. I decided to make the new set solid wood all the way. 5 2x10's @$6.- ea sure made it a worthwhile investment. Safety first!! Still was scary to drive the rig up those ramps.
In case anyone is interested, i am using 9" heights on the ramps, to clear the tank with a floorjack. And this is without the use of the airbags for 2 reasons, one is safety the other is that they deflate once you raise the drive axle and let the tag float.

Thanks, I use dyna-beads and have never seen centramatics mounted so it just looked a little strange.
That makes sense, I use planks myself but I don't have the fancy bevels. Mine have a lot more dirt and grease on them too.

this 350 has a huge onboard compressor and it is mounted in an metal enclosure underneath the vehicle. It was running continuously, so I had to track down the leak. I finally found an inline check valve at the compressor to have a crack.
